Pilgrim’s Pie

This is a little takeoff on the idea of Shepard’s Pie, which is usually made with mutton or beef.  Essentially, it’s turkey dinner leftovers in casserole form:

Hardware:

  • 9” x 13” Baking Dish, lubed
  • Oven, preheated to 350

Software:

  • Turkey Meat, chopped into small pieces
  • Gravy (Your choice)
  • Stuffing (Your choice)
  • Cranberry Sauce (I like whole berry, but gel works too)
  • Chunks of Vegetables (Mixed veggies are good)
  • Mashed Potatoes

Preparation:

Mix the stuffing and cranberry sauce together.  Cover the bottom of the pan with this mixture, trying not to compress it too much.  Mix the turkey, gravy, and veggies together and pour this over the stuffing layer.  Cover the whole thing with mashed potatoes and bake for 25-40 minutes until heated through.
